Her mother lives alone and is in good health, but it would be nice to have an objective and caring person to make sure all her mother's needs are being met. Mary hires a professional concierge that makes 2 visits a week to her mother's home and spends about 30 minutes each time visiting with her. Her concierge even runs some errands for her and sat with her at her last doctor appointment.

"John" just accepted a new job in a new state. He and his wife are both extremely busy, but also have a lot of anxiety over moving to a new place. John hires a concierge that looks at homes for them, takes pictures, and refers them to a real estate agent. Once they purchase a home, the concierge put together an "area report" that details all of the local schools, utility companies, area attractions, and important phone numbers. The concierge supervises the delivery of household goods, stocks the refrigerator, waits for the utility service people, and has a new area package, complete with maps and school registration forms, waiting for them when they arrive.
