Need some ideas on how to use a concierge? Below are some sample case studies to illustrate the potential benefits of some common concierge services.

Concierge Files #27
"Mary" lives out of state and has become increasingly concerned about how her elderly mother is doing. Her mother lives alone and is in good health, but it would be nice to have an objective and caring person to make sure all her mother's needs are being met. Mary hires a professional concierge that makes 2 visits a week to her mother's home and spends about 30 minutes each time visiting with her. Her concierge even runs some errands for her and sat with her at her last doctor appointment.

Concierge Files #16
"John" just accepted a new job in a new state. He and his wife are both extremely busy, but also have a lot of anxiety over moving to a new place. John hires a concierge that looks at homes for them, takes pictures, and refers them to a real estate agent. Once they purchase a home, the concierge put together an "area report" that details all of the local schools, utility companies, area attractions, and important phone numbers. The concierge supervises the delivery of household goods, stocks the refrigerator, waits for the utility service people, and has a new area package, complete with maps and school registration forms, waiting for them when they arrive.

Concierge Files #12
"Janet" has a new position that requires much more travel than she is used to. She has been boarding her dog at a local kennel, but really hasn't been happy with the price, conditions, or the perceived distress of her pet. Janet felt her pet was much happier after she hired a concierge to come in and feed, walk, and play with her. It also made her life easier, since she didn't have to work out the logistics of getting the dog to the kennel and came straight home upon her return.
